Load your documents into the scanner and that’s it! Eyeball recognises that you have just scanned a document, automatically presents you with a field entry screen and you can enter specific information relating to that document. Eyeball supports a large range of Twain compliant desktop scanners as well as photocopiers and departmental scanners. To upload electronic files, right click on the file and select “send to” – “Eyeball”. The field entry screen appears as before.
The Windows file system uses folders and subfolders to structure your data. In time this becomes very unwieldy and doesn't lend itself to the efficient retrieval of archived information. Eyeball holds field information relating to individual documents which in turn enables fast and accurate retrievals of specific documents.
Fields are simply pieces of information attached to a document. This could be a client name, reference number, description of the document or, in fact, anything that applies to your company documents. They ensure consistency throughout your whole archive. Eyeball allows as many fields as you require, including drop down lists and pre-populated filelds such as date and time.
A field is attached to a document at the point it enters the system. Eyeball automatically shows the field entry screen and requests the field information. You can either type in new field information or select previously entered information. Either way it’s incredibly quick and easy.
The document and its field information are passed to a server where they are indexed and made ready for retrieval. The server acts as a central storage area for all of your archived documents.

Eyeball offers a quick method for searching and retrieving your documents. Left click on the Eyeball tray icon to bring up a search box where you can enter the information you wish to search for. You can choose to include content searching.
Eyeball can handle any file format although the most common and efficient for scanned documents is PDF. Electronic documents are retained in their original format and opened in their native application.
Eyeball is being continually developed and new modules will be launched in the near future.
We offer full support packages alongside Eyeball.
We recommend that Eyeball is set up on a dedicated server using a RAID system of hard drives. This ensures that the server can survive a hard disk failure without any loss of information or downtime. The server can be backed up on a nightly basis onto your preferred backup media.
Client PC's require a minimum of: 512Mb RAM for retrievals only or 1Gb RAM for scanning & retrievals, 2GHz single core processor or 1.4GHz dual core recommended, 100Mb Hard disk space, Windows XP Professional or higher
